Surrender & be elevated!
Sri Krsna told Arjun: Pick up your Gandiva bow & two inexhaustible quivers & get down from your chariot before Me. In a moment you will see how I’m speaking for your benefit
Arjun first climbed to the ground & then as Sri
Krsna dismounted, Hanuman immediately disappeared from the flag. At the same
instant, even though no visible flames could be seen, the entire chariot with
its yoke & horses became reduced to a pile of ashes. Upon seeing this,
Arjun was struck with wonder
Finally, after composing himself, Arjun bowed down
before Sri Krsna. With folded hands he asked: O Krsna, what is the reason for
this astonishing occurrence?
Sri Krsna replied: Dear Arjun! In actuality your
chariot had already been consumed by innumerable celestial weapons that were
poured upon it by Bhishma, Drona & Karna, but as long as I remained seated
upon it, the chariot stayed intact. Now, since your objective is fulfilled &
because I have gotten down from it, your chariot had been instantly destroyed
Sri Krsna then went & embraced Maharaj Yudhisthira
saying: Do you remember how, when I had come to visit you at Upaplavya, you had
begged Me to protect Arjun at all costs? I had promised that I would do so
& I have fulfilled that vow, thus enabling you to regain your kingdom by
surviving this dreadful war
In reply Yudhisthira glorified Krsna & then said:
My dear Lord, it is Your causeless mercy alone that has enabled us to cross
over this dangerous ocean & attain ultimate success. I’m eternally indebted
to You for all of the trouble, harsh words & onslaught of weapons You had
to bear while enabling us to gain victory. And yet, despite our success, my
heart trembles when I think of Gandhari’s anger will become aroused when she
hears about the deaths of her sons & grandsons. Indeed, if Gandhari is not
consoled, I’m afraid that her wrath will burn us all to ashes
My dear Krsna, only You are capable of pacifying
Gandhari & so I request You to return to Hastinapura before us so that You
can accomplish the task without delay
Upon arrival at Hastinapur, Sri Krsna went directly to
the royal palace & after announcing His presence, entered Dhritrāshtra’s
room. Vyāsdev was seated along with the old, blind king & so Sri Krsna
first touched the illustrious sage’s lotus feet. Then after touching Dhritrāshtra’s
feet, He offered His respects to Gandhari. Sri Krsna then caught hold of Dhritrāshtra’s
hand began to weep in intense grief
We need God to manage our lives. When we surrender to
Him, divine management takes place. In our lives we face situations and then we
realize that – whether it is our temptation that we just can’t break free from
or a tribulation we can find no way out, and acknowledge that we can no longer
manage our lives all alone, on our own
When we surrender, Krsna does not take our
independence away & starts to micromanage our affairs. We still act with
our own intelligence, rights, initiatives and individuality. Krsna doesn’t
manage our lives for us, but he manages our lives through us. As he is the
undefeatable, unsurpassable supreme reality, he is always
competent to help us go through & grow through every situation, provided we
take the responsibility to seek and do his will
Do
we? #gameoflife
