As Arjun left after touching the feet of his elder brother, Maharāj Yudhisthira got up from his bed. While following Arjun, he very despondently condemned himself, saying: My dear brother, I’m such a cruel wretch & coward. I don’t deserve the association of such noble persons as you, nor am I qualified to act as the emperor of the world. Therefore, instead of continuing my false show of being a pious ruler, I will retire to the forest. After defeating the Kauravas, Bhima can be installed upon the royal throne to rule the earth

Saying this Yudhisthira began departing to the forest. Sri Krsna then came & bowed down at his feet while pacifying him with sweet words. He said: O King! Arjun spoke to you so harshly only because I had instructed him to do so. That was his way of preserving his vow to kill anyone who would even suggest that he give away his Gāndiva bow

My dear Yudhisthira, I promise you without doubt that Arjun will kill Karna today. Pls give up your grief

Yudhisthira became pacified by Sri Krsna’s words. As Krsna had fallen at his feet, he picked Him up saying: My dear Krsna, both Arjun & I have certainly acted very foolishly, but You have saved us with You good advice & thus once again You have proven to be our eternal protector

Sri Krsna could understand that Arjun was still depressed because of his offensive behavior. So, He said: O son of Kunti! Don’t give way to despondency. Just think about how you would have felt if you had actually killed your elder brother, instead of merely insulting him. Now go & worship Yudhisthira. Then we will fight with Karna & kill him. That will certainly bring the king the greatest joy & satisfaction

Arjun went & fell to the floor, touching his head to Maharāj Yudhisthira’s feet. While shedding profuse tears, he again & again remorsefully begged for forgiveness. In response, Yudhisthira raised Arjun up & embraced him with great affection. Both brothers cried aloud for some time, and in this way were relieved of their excessive grief

Yudhisthira once again embraced Arjun & said: My dear brother, after being vanquished by Karna, I felt as if my life were no longer worth living. If you do not kill the wretched suta today, I will certainly give up my miserable life

Arjun said: Dear brother! I promise that I’ll either kill Karna today or else be killed by him. He once again touched his brother’s feet & after receiving his blessings, ordered Sri Krsna to bring his chariot. Thereafter Sri Krsna & Arjun quickly proceeded towards Karna & while going they could hear auspicious birds singing very sweetly nearby

We should always mend fences with others before it reaches a level where things are incorrigible. Most of the time just saying a simple sorry and talking to other people, with whom we may have differences of opinion, build bridges, trust & strengthen relationships. False ego often propels our mind to unnecessarily hold our ground and lose a person who is very dear to us

Remember saying sorry doesn’t mean we have admitted being wrongful, but it means we value the relationship more & do not want to lose the person

EGO is just a three-letter word which can destroy a big twelve letter word called RELATIONSHIP

Choice is ours!
