Faith!

As Nārayanastra continued to enter Bhima’s body, Sri Krsna & Arjun jumped from their chariot. After rushing towards Bhima, they dove into the powerful effulgence of the Nārayana weapon. Due to their having laid aside their weapons, because of the presence of the Varuna weapon, and because of their prowess, the two Krsnas were not affected by the Nārayanastra as they forcibly dragged Bhima

Bhima resisted, and he roared with rage, so that the energy of the Nārayanastra continued increasing

Sri Krsna angrily said: O Bhima! Why don’t you throw down your weapons when I had ordered everyone to do so? I can assure you that this is the only way to counteract this foremost of weapons

Although Bhima’s rage could not be subdued, Sri Krsna Managed to drop him down from his chariot and then convince him to lay down his weapons. As soon as this was done, the Nārayanastra became pacified. Soon thereafter, all directions became calm, and a gentle breeze began to blow through the crisp autumn air. When the Pāndava warriors saw that the Nārayana weapon had been neutralized, they once again picked up their weapons to resume fighting

At that time Duryodhana urged Asvattāma to invoke the Nārayana weapon once more. The son of Drona replied: O King! If I attempt to employ the weapon again, I will be destroyed instead of the enemy

Asvattāma rushed towards Dhrishtadyumna, desiring to avenge the death of his father. The two infuriated warriors fought fiercely for a while before Asvattāma killed Dhrishta’s horses and driver. The Pāncāla soldiers fearfully fled from their endangered leader and so Asvattāma continued to greatly afflict Dhrishta with his arrows

Sātyaki rushed at Asvattāma & unleashed such a violent attack that the son of Drona’s chariot became smashed, his horses killed, and his bow broken. Sātyaki continued to pierce his opponent deeply so that at last he became dazed and confused about what to do next

Upon seeing this, Duryodhana, Karna and Krpā rushed to Asvattāma’s rescue while showering their arrows on Sātyaki. The Yadav hero became so excited with rage that he soon deprived all three of their chariots, thus forcing them to quickly flee from the scene of battle

Meanwhile, Asvattāma regained his composure and after mounting another chariot he returned to fight with Sātyaki, who once again smashed his chariot. When Pāndava warriors saw Asvattāma turn his back and flee, they shouted with joy and blew their mighty conch shells. With Asvattāma out of the way, Sātyaki attacked Vrsasena’s army and quickly killed 15000 elephants, and then slaughtered 50 000 horse warriors belonging to Sakuni

Seeing is believing! But if we do not have the capability to see everything, how can we see a thing in entirety. Our senses have limitations (there are other beings who have much more capable senses for e.g. Eagle can see longer distances). We need to see things either through’ our scriptures (which are spoken by Lord himself e.g. Bhagvad Gita spoken by Sri Krsna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, himself & other authorised scriptures) and have faith in those instructions

Here Bhima does not listen to the instructions of the Supreme Lord and face the consequences & was on the verge of losing his life even. Do we have faith on the Supreme or faith on our own mentally concocted sense of seeing things driven by false pride
