Cause of all Causes!

Witnessing Jayadratha’s death, Kaurava warriors became highly enraged. When Arjun continued attacking their army, Krpā & Asvattāma came to oppose him. Arjun did not want to kill his former teacher and son of his other Guru & so he released his arrows mildly. Still, Krpā became so covered by Arjun’s arrows that he soon lost his strength and fainted on the floor of his chariot

Thinking that his master might have been killed, Krpā’s driver quickly took him away from the battlefield and so Asvattāma also desisted from fighting out of fear. When Arjun saw how Krpā had fallen down on his chariot, tears came to his eyes. He exclaimed: O Krsna! To hell with the life of Kshatriya, because it forces one to fight with a Brāhmanā and his own guru! Just as good disciples reward their spiritual masters and thus attain exalted destinations, wretched persons like me who assault their guru must certainly go to hell!

While Arjun was thus lamenting, Karna rushed at him from a distance and so Sātyaki, Yuyudhana & Uttamaujā intercepted him. Arjun ordered: O Krsna! Take me quickly to Karna so that I can assist Sātyaki

Sri Krsna replied: Sātyaki is sufficient match for Karna. Besides now is not the time for you to fight with him, for he possesses the invincible dart of Indra. O son of Kunti, Karna has worshipped that weapon for a long time with hope to kill you. Still, I can assure you that the time will soon come when you will face Karna fearlessly

Being omniscient, Sri Krsna had known that Sātyaki would face a grave trial. It is for this reason He had ordered Dāruka to keep his chariot ready. Now as Karna prepared to attack Sātyaki, Sri Krsna loudly sounded the Rsabha note on his Pāncajanya conch shell. In response Dāruka quickly appeared before Him

Thereafter, Sātyaki mounted upon Sri Krsna’s chariot & rushed to encounter Karna. When this great duel commenced, all the other warriors abstained from fighting to stand aside as spectators

Thereafter, as they witnessed the wonderful skill that Dāruka displayed while maneuvering Sātyaki’s chariot, even the demigods and sages in the heavens became spellbound with wonder. Finally, after a frantic exchange of arrows, Sātyaki killed Karna’s driver & horses. Then, with one hundred arrows, he shattered Karna’s insignia into one hundred fragments

At this Vrsasena (Karna’s son), Salya & Asvattāma surrounded Satyaki while Karna got onto Duryodhana’s chariot. Sātyaki did not want to kill either Karna or Duryodhana so that Arjun & Bhima’s vows would be kept intact. Instead, he encountered all this that had come to attack him and soon thereafter, he deprived them of their chariots. At that time Dāruka’s younger brother brought Sātyaki his own chariot and so Dāruka returned to Sri Krsna’s side

Sanjaya exclaimed to Dhritrāshtra : O King! There are only three foremost bowmen in this world – Sri Krsna, Arjun & Sātyaki, and there is no fourth

The Supreme Lord is omniscient. He knows best about what to do, at what time, place & circumstances. Krsna says:

ahaṁ sarvasya prabhavo mattaḥ sarvaṁ pravartate
iti matvā bhajante māṁ budhā bhāva-samanvitāḥ

I am the source of all spiritual and material worlds. Everything emanates from Me. The wise who perfectly know this engage in My devotional service and worship Me with all their hearts

We just need to be his unalloyed devotees to have his blessings, guidance & mercy to lead a productive life

Sri Kṛṣṇa is the source of all generations, and He is called the most efficient cause of everything. He says, “Because everything is born of Me, I am the original source of all. Everything is under Me; no one is above Me.” There is no supreme controller other than Kṛṣṇa. One who understands Kṛṣṇa in such a way from a bona fide spiritual master, with references from Vedic literature, engages all his energy in Kṛṣṇa consciousness & becomes a truly learned man. In comparison to him, all others, who do not know Kṛṣṇa properly, are but fools
