Vote. We have great responsibility!

The subjects define which type of leader they want. If they falter, they themselves are liable to be governed by someone not qualified & suitable

The principles are the foremost. People may come & go but their adherence to principles leaves legacy behind. If someone has principles then he would emotionally affect us, intellectually teach us & socially make us apt in interacting with the world

In Ramayana we can see that due to immaturity of the cititizens of Ayodhya, Sri Ram was separated from Mother Sita. It was Raj Dharma of the leader which prevented Ram from defending in individual capacity about the purity of Mother Sita & he left it to the wise judgement of his subjects

Sri Ram after killing Ravana, came back & was coronated as King of Ayodhya. He governed Ayodhya for 10000 years; and the news once came out that Sita had conceived. Then Sri Ram asked her if she had any longing & she replied that she would like to visit hermitages of sages by River Ganga. Sri Ram thus granted her wish & the visit was scheduled for the next day

That very night Ram came to know from his ministers that his subjects were happy since he killed Ravan but were somewhat not pleased for he brought back Sita with him who stayed for long in the house of a different person other than her husband. At this, Sri Ram got utterly shocked & told Laxman to leave Sita in jungle & return to Ayodhya. Laxman thus left Sita in the hermitage of Valmiki

Mother Sita was thus unceremoniously banished, leaving Ram distraught. In due course of time, she gave birth to two sons: Lav & Kush. The boys grew up in the forest hermitage & Valmiki trained them with great wisdom, made the book of Ramayan in slokas & gave them skill in recitation. In due course they recited Ramayan to Ram in Ayodhya, without his knowledge that they were his own sons

After Sri Ram came to know that Lav & Kusha were his sons & that Sita was living in the hermitage of Valmiki, he send message to the saint enquiring about Sita. Finally, Ayodhyawasis also realized their fault & they lamented piteously, praying for Sita's return

Sage Valmiki accompanied Sita to Ayodhya & then Ram asked Sita to prove her faithfulness towards him again. With this Sita prayed to Vasundhara to accept her since he was ever faithful to Ram. Thus a heavenly throne rose up from within the earth, borne on the heads of mighty nagas, decked in shining jewels & the Earth stretched out her arms welcoming Sita and placed her on the throne, which sank down again

Ram became heavy-hearted with disappearance of Sita before his very eyes, & the whole world seemed empty without her

So we understand from this episode, that the subjects have huge responibility. Not only in selecting the right leader but also preserving him from any undue malicious accusations, allowing him to serve properly

Let us vote for the right leader who serves without any ulterior motive & also preserve him from any slander

  Principles to fight & die for! Arjun had Uttara halt his chariot at some distance from Kaurav army to survey the opposition. He thought that if he could simply vanquish Duryodhana, other Kauravas would automatically desist. But he noted that Duryodhana was absent. Arjun ordered Uttara: Avoiding the Kaurav army, take the road to Hastināpur so that we can overtake Duryodhana and retrieve the plundered cows   From Arjun’s course, Krpā could understand his intention & so he had ordered the entire Kaurav army to go & protect Duryodhana.
