Flaring up with rage, the heroic son of Arjun drove all these Kuru heroes back with his onslaught of arrows, except Laksmana, who continued to advance. Duryodhana returned to the fray to support his son & seeing this other Kaurava warriors rallied
While being pierced by Laksmana's arrows, Abhimanyu announed: O wicked son of a wicked king, you should better take a last good look at the world around you, for you are about to leave it for the next!
After saying this Abhimanyu took a very powerful arrow & fixed it on his bowstring. When released by the incredible Pandava prince that blazing arrowl flew magnificiently thro' the air & struck off Laksmana's head. Seeing this, all Kaurava warriors uttered exclamation of horror & grief while Duryodhana became filled with intolerble rage
With great agitation Duryodhana urged his greatest warriors to immediately go & avenge the death of his son by killing Abhimanyu. Six great powerful heroes responded to Duryodhana's command & they soon surrounded Abhimanyu. These were Drona, Krpa, Karna, Asvatthama, Brhadbala & Krtvarma, all of them were eager to battle
Abhimanyu tried to escape their attack by penetrating thro' Jayadratha's army, but the elephant division blocked his way. Thus Abhimanyu turned back to face the six Kuru warriors so that a gruesome conflict took place. After piercing all six of his adversaries with numerous arrows, Abhimanyu killed Krpa's horses & many of his supporting soldiers
We can just play our parts in the larger scheme of the Supreme Lord, with no plan of self sense aggrandizement. If we do so then the world is ours. We can benefit not only in this material world but gain access to the holy abode of the Lord, the place where there is no fear of birth-oldage-disease-death, but only Sat-Chita-Ananda. But, if we want to pursue our own agenda, the Lord takes it all away as time
Krsna says in Gita
kālo ’smi loka-kṣaya-kṛt pravṛddho lokān samāhartum iha pravṛttaḥ
ṛte ’pi tvāṁ na bhaviṣyanti sarve ye ’vasthitāḥ praty-anīkeṣu yodhāḥ
Time I am, the great destroyer of the worlds, and I have come here to destroy all people. With the exception of you [the Pāṇḍavas], all the soldiers here on both sides will be slain
tasmāt tvam uttiṣṭha yaśo labhasva jitvā śatrūn bhuṅkṣva rājyaṁ samṛddham
mayaivaite nihatāḥ pūrvam eva nimitta-mātraṁ bhava savya-sācin
Therefore get up. Prepare to fight & win glory. Conquer your enemies & enjoy a flourishing kingdom. They are already put to death by My arrangement, and you, O Savyasācī, can be but an instrument in the fight
Either Abhimanyu or Arjun, they became instruments in the plan of the Supreme Lord & received everything-Praise Glory Eternity & other opulences
