Clear mind!

Bhima attacked Kaurava army, causing its soldiers to turn their backs & flee. Seeing this Bhagadatta rushed at Bhima, riding his colossal elephant. Indeed, Bhagadatta’s charge was so sudden & violent that Bhima barely managed to jump to ground as his chariot was smashed to atoms

Bhima darted underneath Bhagadatta’s elephant & struck it with bare arms. However, when he came out, the elephant caught him with his trunk & dashed him forcefully to ground. Fortunately, Bhima was able to free himself from elephant’s clutches by twisting its trunk & once again went underneath its body

When Pāndava warriors saw Bhima’s precarious condition, they thought he would surely be killed. Hoping to save his brother, Yudhisthira took Pāncālas & surrounded Bhagadatta while showering innumerable arrows. Remaining undaunted, Bhagadatta urged his elephant towards Sātyaki’s chariot as it came close by. The gigantic elephant grabbed Sātyaki’s chariot & hurled it some distance as the Yadu hero jumped safely to ground

Bhagadatta infuriated elephant slaughtered numerous warriors that came in its path & so rest of Pāncālas fled in all directions. Seeing this, Bhima once again rushed at Bhagadatta after getting onto another chariot

Bhagadatta’s elephant frightened Bhima’s horses by showering water on them from its trunk & the panicked steeds quickly carried Bhima away from the scene of battle. Remaining Pāndava warriors still tried to kill Bhagadatta’s elephant with torrents of arrows, but the colossal beast continued to mangle them while being urged on by its master

When Arjun saw dust clouds raised by Bhagadatta’s elephant & also heard wailing of Pāndava soldiers, he could understand seriousness of situation. Considering himself & Krsna to be the only match for Bhagadatta, Arjun ordered the Lord to quickly take his chariot to where the battle was raging

As Arjun proceeded towards Bhagadatta, 1000’s of Nārayana cowherds warriors returned to battlefield & challenged him to fight. Thus, Arjun was put into a dilemma. After deliberating for some time, he decided to kill Samsaptakas first. As Arjun turned to encounter them, cowherds showered their arrows so fiercely that Sri Krsna perspired heavily & began to lose consciousness

Seeing this Arjun became very anxious & released Brahmāstra that nearly exterminated all enemy warriors. Sri Krsna heartily congratulated Arjun for accomplishing this wonderful feat & then Arjun again urged Him to quickly approach Bhagadatta

A clear mind is always helpful at times of extreme stress. Here the Supreme Lord forces Arjun to first finish the job at hand before moving on to face the next challenge. We sometimes forget our best resource in tackling the problem with grave consequences. Being vigilant & observant about our actions, dovetailed with intelligence are the hallmark of godly men endowed with divine nature
