Krsna Karma!

When Arjun saw all the warriors on both sides crushed between the terrible teeth of that gigantic form of Sri Krsna, he became terrified & prayed to the Supreme Lord with folded hands: O Lord of the universe, pls forgive me for having treated You so informally, as if You were my intimate friend. I am now embarrassed to think of how I joked with You or criticized You in front of others while we were eating, sitting, or lying together on the same bed. Whether I acted in this way out of madness or out of love, pls forgive me for the offenses I committed by treating You as my equal

My dear universal Lord, kindly disclose Your real identity

Sri Krsna replied: Time I am, the destroyer & I have to engage all beings. All the great heroes whom you feel so much compassion for have already been killed by My supreme will. My dear Arjun, you should act as My instrument, for by doing so you will attain everlasting fame as the hero of this great battle at Kurukshetra

Arjuna said: O Lord! I’m no longer able to behold this terrible form of Yours, for my mind is losing its balance. Pls show me Your four-armed form as Lord Vishnu, and then once again reappear in Your most pleasing human-like two-armed form as Syamsundara

Being so requested, Sri Krsna displayed His majestic four-armed form. At last, He again reappeared in His most beautiful human-like feature, thus relieving Arjun of his fear. Thereafter Sri Krsna described to Arjun the three modes of material nature, the exalted qualities of His pure devotees, and the abominable qualities of the demons

Sri Krsna concluded His instructions by saying: My dear Arjun, I have imparted to you the most confidential of all knowledge. It is up to you to deliberate upon it as your intelligence can guide you & then decide whether you want to fight under My direction or rebel

The Bhagavad-gītā is a book directed to the conditioned souls, who are engaged in the material world with the purpose of lording it over nature & who do not know of the real, spiritual life. It is meant to show how one can understand his spiritual existence and his eternal relationship with the supreme spiritual personality and to teach one how to go back home, back to Godhead

No work should be done by any man except in relationship to Kṛṣṇa. This is called kṛṣṇa-karma. One may be engaged in various activities, but one should not be attached to the result of his work; the result should be done only for Him
