TEAM!

Meanwhile, in Hastinapura, after Sri Krsna's departure, Duryodhana consulted Duhsasana, Karna & Sakuni. Knowing that Lord Krsna was determined to fight, the Kaurava king ordered his associates to prepare the army so that they could begin marching to Kurukshetra without delay

The next morning, Duryodhana made the final arrangements by assigning ten elephant warriors to each chariot, ten horse soldiers to each elephant, and ten infantries to each horse soldier. Krpa, Drona, Salya, Jayadratha, Sudaksina, Krtavarma, Asvatthama, Karna, Bhurisrava, Sakuni and Bahlika were appointed commanders of his eleven akshauni (11 divisions of soldiers

Duryodhana took them to Bhisma and requested: O Grandfather, because the intelligence of two persons is never in agreement, I request you to become the commander-in-chief of my combined forces. There is absolute necessity for one supreme leader, because commanders will always be jealous of one another due to their pride born of great prowess

Bhisma said: O King, I accept your proposal but at the same time I must warn you that because the Pandavas are very dear to me, I will never disregard their welfare. In this world I can see only one warrior who is equal to me, and that is Arjuna. However, I know that, out of respect he will never fight with me very fiercely. Similarly, even though I am capable of easily vanquishing all of-the  demigods, demons, human beings and Raksasas combined, I will never kill the Pandavas

My dear Duryodhana, hereby I vow to kill at least ten thousand warriors each day, but I must insist upon one condition before accepting the post of commander-in-chief. Either Kama or I will fight first, but not both of us together, for he has always insulted me while vainly boasting of his prowess

Hearing this, Kama said: I agree to fight only after Bhisma has been killed-for that was the vow I made earlier

Bhisma was duly appointed as the Kauravas' commander-in-chief and at the conclusion of the ceremony, where musicians played, conch shells blared, and all the warriors roared like lions. And yet, in spite of this fanfare, and although it was a cloudless day, a bloody rain began to fall, and fierce winds suddenly blew. The earth began to quake, and blazing meteors streaked across the sky. Disembodied  voices could be heard in all directions and jackals howled ominously, indicating a great calamity, thus depressing the hearts of the Kaurava soldiers

If at the start of any endeavor, the team has differences, the efforts definitely go in vain. TEAM means Together Everyone Achieves Miracles but if the members are in disagreement, the efforts negate each other rather than contribute

Setting a goal is easy but binding the team with diverse attitudes & viewpoints is very difficult
