Realization!


Mārkandeya rsi continued: The boy from whose stomach I came out said-You’ve dwelt within My body for a long time & have certainly become very tired. To mitigate your material pangs. I’ll enlighten you with transcendental knowledge


As He spoke, I felt liberated from illusion of material existence & my spiritual vision awakened. In that self-realized condition, I understood that this boy is the Absolute Truth, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, source of all emanations & master of all worlds, material & spiritual. I thus worshipped His reddish lotus feet by placing them on my head with great reverence


With folded hands I said: My dear Lord, pls describe Yourself & Your illusory energy. Why do you remain here as a small boy? How is that I saw entire universe situated within Your transcendental body?


The boy said: I’m the eternal Lord Nārayana, who lies upon the water of the Garbhodaka ocean. It is I who am the creator, maintainer & destroyer of everything & thus entire cosmic manifestation constitutes My universal form. I become ingredients of sacrifice; it is I who awards result of sacrifice & I’m the Vedas personified. I’m cause of all causes & One who maintains innumerable living beings while sustaining cosmic creation


At various times I incarnate within universe to establish religious principles as well as protect demigods & annihilate great demons who can’t be killed by anyone else. During Brahmā’s night, I submerge universe into water of dissolution for 1000 yuga-cycles. While Brahmā sleeps, I keep myself in this form as a small boy


Because you'd become depressed after seeing the universe completely inundated, I took you within My body to show you how 3 worlds remain conserved there. Now, until time when Brahmā awakens, you can stay here & reside peacefully. After saying this, the boy suddenly vanished from that place & thereafter in due course of time, I witness the creations of Brahmā


Dear Yudhisthira! The Supreme Personality of Godhead has now appeared as your cousin, Lord Krsna. Therefore, your best course is to always take shelter of Him & depend on Him alone


Hearing this, Pāndavās & Draupadi bowed down before Sri Krsna, who was personally present before them


yataḥ pravṛttir bhūtānāṁ yena sarvam idaṁ tatam

sva-karmaṇā tam abhyarcya siddhiṁ vindati mānavaḥ


By worship of the Lord, who is the source of all beings & who is all-pervading, a man can attain perfection thro' performing his own work


Realization of who we are doesn’t depend on external appreciation but internal acceptance. At our core, we’re souls who are part of the whole Krsna. We can get enduring satisfaction only when we lovingly connect with Him & redefine all our activities as devotional service to Him. Such synergy needs purification of consciousness thro’ our actions


When we act as per our responsibilities to contribute for divine cause,we use our talents & skills to realize our spiritual connection with Him & thus contribute

  Make or break!   When Salya agreed to drive Karna’s chariot only on condition that he must be allowed to speak freely whatever he likes, Duryodhana and Karna readily agreed & thus a contract was made. Duryodhana flattered Salya by comparing him to Lord Brahmā, who formerly became Shiva’s charioteer at the time of destroying Tripura   Duryodhana concluded his long talk by saying: Dear Salya, Parasurāma delivered the entire science of weapons to Karna. Therefore, we must intelligently conclude that Karna cannot really be a sutā’s son. He must be the offspring of a demigod born in a Kshatriya family & then abandoned at infancy.   Krsna’s plan!   As Asvattāma asked Krpa about what happened to his father Drona, with great anguish Krpa said: My dear Asvattāma, your father was killed by Dhrishtadyumna. Knowing Drona to be invincible as long as he would wield his weapons, Sri Krsna ordered Yudhisthira to falsely inform him of your death. When your father heard this shocking news, he put down his weapons. Seeing this Dhrishta rushed at him brandishing his sword.
