Growth or Decline?

Every business and every person is pushing for growth but that has a limit. How far we can grow materially?

That bring us to a fundamental question, what is growth? However forcefully we can push ourselves to achieve opulences in wealth, fame, strength, wisdom, beauty or renunciation (charity etc), we cannot become the Supreme as the reservoir of all these opulence lies somewhere else (Aishvaryasya samagrasya viryasya yashasah shriyoh, jnana vairagyayoshchaiva shannam bhagam itim gana)

Bhagavan means one who possesses these 6 opulences in full: all riches, all strength, all fame, all wisdom, all beauty, all renunciation”. Etymological meaning of the word Bhagavan is “one who possesses all opulences” (bhaga – opulences; van – one who possesses)

It is a fact that anyone who possesses any one of the above mentioned six opulences to even some extent, becomes attractive in this world. The rich and the famous, the bold and the beautiful are all attractive. We are all enamored by the rich, the beautiful, the intelligent, the powerful, the famous and the renounced people in the world. Everyone dreams of “making it big” in life like one of the people who possesses any of these opulences. Hence, it is obvious that these opulences make a person attractive. But we need to understand that we cannot become the all in all of these elements

This means our continuous efforts for gaining more of these opulences & the continuous hankering for the same is a wasteful effort. That is the snare of Maya to bind us more & more into this material world

Growth means Self realization!

When we realize that we are spirit soul, which is part & parcel of Super Soul. We are not a puppet of our desires and be always influenced by the 3 modes of material nature. We are spiritually blissful entity (of same quality as the Supreme Lord - Sat, Chit, Ananda). We have forgotten our constitutional position of being the servant of Supreme Lord & trying to be masters ourselves

We are illusioned & due to our forgetfulness of our relationship with Krsna, The Supreme Personality of Godhead, our real intelligence & growth will be subdued and we can never achieve our true potential

Let's grow spiritually & in that process if we get material growth, that is to be used in the service of the Supreme & others

Let's read scriptures and gain wisdom to elevate, not demote ourselves by our blind run for material success only

  Make or break!   When Salya agreed to drive Karna’s chariot only on condition that he must be allowed to speak freely whatever he likes, Duryodhana and Karna readily agreed & thus a contract was made.   Krsna’s plan!   As Asvattāma asked Krpa about what happened to his father Drona, with great anguish Krpa said: My dear Asvattāma, your father was killed by Dhrishtadyumna.
