Elements of respectful & respected Manager!
Pāndavās experienced great happiness receiving exceptional sons, who were like children of demigods. King Yudhisthira ruled his kingdom from Indraprastha, while his brothers went out & subjugated other kings, so that their empire gradually expanded.
Yudhisthira was an emblem of religious principles & so his subjects lived very happily under his protection & guidance. It appeared as if Dharma, Artha & Kāma (religiosity, economic development & sense gratification), the 3 pursuits of human beings in general, were personally residing in the kingdom
It is a well-known fact that whatever a great man does, others will follow. Due to Yudhisthira’s influence, the subordinate kings became highly virtuous & fixed in devotion to Supreme Personality of Godhead Sri Krsna. Because of their great affection for Yudhisthira, people of Indraprastha enjoyed great pleasure simply him & the king also tried to do what was agreeable to his subjects, provided it was not contrary to religious principles
King Yudhisthira never acted in a way that would insult or displease anyone, for his words were always truthful, meaningful & palatable as well
anudvega-karam vakyam satyam priya-hitam ca yat

Austerity of speech consists in speaking truthfully and beneficially and in avoiding speech that offends. One should also recite the Vedas regularly
One should not speak in such a way as to agitate the minds of others. Of course, when a teacher speaks, he can speak the truth for the instruction of his students, but such a teacher should not speak to others who are not his students if he will agitate their minds. This is penance as far as talking is concerned. Besides that, one should not talk nonsense. When speaking in spiritual circles, one's statements must be upheld by the scriptures. One should at once quote from scriptural authority to back up what he is saying. At the same time, such talk should be very pleasurable to the ear. By such discussions, one may derive the highest benefit and elevate human society
If we want to be loved & respected by others, we must follow in the footsteps of Yudhisthira by never insulting or displeasing others & speaking only words that are truthful, pleasing & have meaning. In this dog-eat-dog material world of cheaters & cheated, human life is the chance to reform ourselves. We should give respect to all without expecting respect in return
trinad api sunicena taror api sahishnuna
amanina manadena kirtaniyah sada harih
This material world is the place for exploiting others, whereas the spiritual world is meant for rendering service. We need to be kind to others & they will be kind to us. If we want to be admired, we must act admirably
These life lessons need to be dutifully practiced by all of us. Speech is a tool to mend fences & grow flowers rather than build walls & grow thorns of discontent
