The consciousness of giving & sharing!
King Rām, the foremost amongst men, gave Brahmanas 100 000 cows & horses as well as a hundred bulls. He also gave thirty crores of gold coins, all kinds of very costly jewels & garments. Rām gave Sugriva a beautiful chaplet, studded with plenty of gems, which looked like a beam of sunlight
Joyful Rām then presented Angada, son of Vāli, a bracelet to be worn on upper arm, conspicuously studded with cat’s eyes gems & adorned with other jewels and pearls. Rām presented to Sitā, an excellent string of pearls, finished with superior gems, shining like a beam of moonlight, two beautiful garments & lovely ornaments
Looking at Hanumān, Sita took off a pearl string from her neck. She then glanced towards Rām & then towards Hanumān repeatedly. Rām who understood Sitā’s gestures, spoke to her-Dear Sitā, give the pearl necklace to the person, with whom you are so pleased & in whom the qualities like mental sharpness, firmness, renown, dexterity, competence, modesty, prudence, virility, prowess, and intelligence are ever present
Black-eyed Sitā then gave the pearl necklace to Hanumān. Hanumān wore that necklace, which was as white as a heap of moonlight beams, shining brilliantly like a mountain silvered by white cloud
All the elder Vānaras & others were also honored suitably with ornaments & garments. Rām then presented articles according to their inclination to Mainda, Dvivida & Nila. He suitably honored Vibhishana, Hanumān, Jāmbavan & all eminent persons with desired objects & abundant gifts. Everyone was delighted on his part upon receiving gifts from Rām & praised his profusely
Thereafter all the excellent & great souled Vānaras offered salutations to Rām and others and after receiving permission from him, returned to Kishkindha. After witnessing the grand coronation ceremony of his friend Rām, he bade his farewell and returned to his kingdom
When we give from our heart, we share the best we have. It gives us tremendous joy in giving whatever big or small we have. We should always be givers of things, of love, of compassion and shape lifelong values to be always net givers rather than receivers
Few key points about giving are – give from your heart (not mind), being generous always makes us happier, be grateful to the Supreme Lord that he has given us ample to share with others-this imbibes humility in giving
Make someone’s life happier by sharing what you have. Sharing is contagious and inspires others to give. It inspires gratitude and fosters compassion. It changes us and the world for good
Do we have the consciousness to give? Thoughts? #gameoflife
Never Fall down! Arjun released an Agni weapon that brightly lit up entire sky. Karna invoked a Varuna weapon that quenched the fire by creating clouds with a Vayavya weapon & then released a favourite weapon of Indra that made thousands of arrows issues forth from his G ā ndiva bow While being pierced all over, Karna countered Aindra weapon with a Bh ārgava weapon & proceeded to kill many of the foremost Pāncāla warriors.
