As Bharata announced Pattabhishekam, Rām-the conqueror of adversaries accepted his words saying, Be it so!

Rām sat on an auspicious seat. On instructions of Shatrughna, skilled barbers with gentle hands, who can do the work at great speed, encircled Rām all around

Bharata bathed first, followed by Laxman, Sugriva & Vibhishana. Rām had his matted locks disentangled & was bathed. He stood there shining with splendor, adorned with picturesque garlands, smeared with sandal pastes of various colors & clothed in costly garments. Shatrughna made arrangements for personal adornment of Rām & Laxman. Then all the noble-minded widows of Dasaratha, personally adorned Sitā

Thereafter delightful Kaushalya, who was affectionate of her sons & others, adorned with zeal all the wives of Vānaras

Later on the orders of Shatrughna, Sumantra made his appearance, yoking a beautiful chariot to horses, who had oval shaped hooves, long tails, slender legs, muscular torso, thick necks & long elongated heads. They looked fast, energetic & brave. Seeing the charming chariot, which emitted immaculate splendor like that of Sun, standing before him, the mighty armed Rām ascended it

Sugriva & Hanumān, having splendor similar to Indra, after taking bath, wore beautiful garments & sparkling earrings & started in front. Endowed with all types of ornaments as well as charming earrings, Sitā together wives of Sugriva, moved out, longing as they were to see the Ayodhya city

In Ayodhya, the ministers of King Dasaratha, having placed the priest in front, planned everything meaningfully. Ashoka, Vijaya & Sidhhartha with great concern, discussed about Rām’s advancement & prosperity of the city. They said to the priest-You ought to do auspiciously whatever is required for the coronation of the great souled Rām, worthy of victory. Advising the priest in this way, all those ministers quickly started from the city, with an intention to see Rām

All wanted to just serve & their focus was to do their best

The faultless Rām, mounting the excellent chariot, yoked to green-colored horses, sallied forth to the Ayodhya for the grand welcome

In life we frequently feel that we don’t get what we deserve. For example, we contribute tirelessly for a project, but at the end our contribution is not aptly recognized. How can we get the motivation to persevere doing our part? The best we can do is to cultivate humility which keeps us grounded either in success or in failure

Humility helps us to remember our identity and the bigger purpose of leading this human form of life, which is to serve the Supreme Lord. If we keep this consciousness, we will never feel frustrated as whatever we do would be dovetailed to the higher purpose & any failure would be a learning

This boosts inner stability & less dependence on externals like appreciation. Let’s humbly serve
