Recollection!


Rām further explained to Sitā the surrounding as they were returning back to Ayodhya on Pushpaka Vimāna-Here see the water descent of the gigantic ocean called Setubandha, adored in all 3 worlds. This is a very sacred spot to wash away sins. Vibhishana first came to at this very place to meet me


O Sitā! Here is seen the beautiful city of Kishkindha, which is full of colorful groves. Here Vāli was killed by me. Sitā listening this said in a courteous manner- O King! I wish to reach Ayodhya along with you and also accompanied by wives of other Vānara chiefs, Tarā & other wives of Sugriva


Hearing words of Sitā, Rām replied-Let it be. He then caused the aerial chariot to halt at Kishkindha & said to Sugriva-O Vānara king, instruct all Vānara chiefs to come to Ayodhya with their wives. Ask them to come quickly so that we proceed


Hearing Rām, Sugriva with all others went to the city. He then met Tāra & said-O beloved lady! You’ve been permitted by Rām to come to Ayodhya in the company of wives of other Vānaras, to make Sitā happy. All hurried up, excited to go to Ayodhya. They wanted to see Rām being coronated as the King & also his mothers. As they ascended the chariot, it moved on further


Rām said-O Sitā, You can see here mount Risyamukha, endowed with layers of gold & looking like a cloud with lightning. Here I met Sugriva. Here is Pampa river with lotuses & colorful groves, where I lamented with great pain after being separated from you. The virtuous Shabari met me at the bank of this river. Demon Kabandha having arms eight miles long, was killed here


Over there is seen the forest of Janasthana. You can see that illustrious tree under which the mighty Jatayu, the foremost amongst birds, was killed by Rāvan for your sake. Here is Panchvati ( place of 5 banyan trees) where demon Khara was killed by me, as well his brother Dushan & mighty Trisiras. Over there is the enchanting leaf hut from where you were forcibly taken away by Rāvan


I am remembering all this to realize what we went through & the contribution all have made to achieve the promise made by me to the sages. To get rid of the demons who were tormenting pious souls, who were performing austerities for the benefit of the society & world at large


Recollection of events with the underlying facts connects us to the core. When we remember the events, it also brings us the conviction & realization that all what happens, happens for a reason and the purpose of the happenings was to achieve bigger good


Ultimately in our lives, if we remain focused on serving the Supreme Lord, he makes arrangements for us to elevate and contribute to the Dharmic principles. This in turn makes both our material & spiritual life happy, although it may seem that sometimes we are passing thro’ tough path filled with roadblocks. At the end we would realize that it was all planned for higher good

  Make or break!   When Salya agreed to drive Karna’s chariot only on condition that he must be allowed to speak freely whatever he likes, Duryodhana and Karna readily agreed & thus a contract was made. Duryodhana flattered Salya by comparing him to Lord Brahmā, who formerly became Shiva’s charioteer at the time of destroying Tripura   Duryodhana concluded his long talk by saying: Dear Salya, Parasurāma delivered the entire science of weapons to Karna.   Krsna’s plan!   As Asvattāma asked Krpa about what happened to his father Drona, with great anguish Krpa said: My dear Asvattāma, your father was killed by Dhrishtadyumna. Knowing Drona to be invincible as long as he would wield his weapons, Sri Krsna ordered Yudhisthira to falsely inform him of your death.
