Perceptions & Intentions!


Rām decided to proceed for Ayodhya. Before doing so, he said to Hanumān-O the foremost of Vānaras! Pls go with all speed to Ayodhya to ascertain that the people there are doing good. Also visit Shringaberapura, and ask about the welfare of Guha, the King of Nishadas. Guha will be pleased to hear about me as being safe and healthy. He is my friend & as good as my own self. He will also tell you about Bharata & the citizens of Ayodhya


Next meet Bharata & ask about his welfare in my name. Tell him about me having returned after accomplishing the object, with Sita & Laxman. Tell him about the abduction of Sitā by mighty Rāvan & killing of Vāli in combat. Tell him about the search of Sitā, how she was traced by you crossing the extensive waters of the ocean. Tell him how the bridge was constructed to crossover to Lankā & how Rāvan was killed. Tell him about the bestowing of boons by Indra, Brahmā & Varuna


Inform him about my meeting with my deceased father by the grace of Shiva, the Supreme deity. Tell him about me having come near Ayodhya along with Vibhishana, the demon King & Sugriva, the Vānara King. Tell him that having conquered the host of enemies & obtaining fame, Rām is coming back with his friends


You must carefully observe the facial expression of Bharata as he listens to above & what he intends to do in relation to me. Let me know about all the occurrences there which is to be known. All the gestures of Bharata are to be ascertained thro’ the color of his face, his glances & his speech


Whose mind does not turn around with an abundantly rich kingdom, with all the coveted enjoyments, teeming with elephants, horses & chariots and which is inherited from one’s father? Having been associated with the kingdom for long, if the illustrious Bharata is longing for it himself, let him rule the Kingdom undivided


O Hanumān! Understanding Bharata’s mind & perception, you ought to return quickly before we go close towards Ayodhya


The Supreme Lord always sees our “Bhava” with which we are serving him. In whatever capacity big or small, we can serve but what is of utmost importance is the intent


Huge lessons for us. We also should see the intent of what we are doing & what others are doing for us. Perceptions should be directed by intentions. In professional arena, successful managers would also see the intentions of an employee together with the content they contribute to. This should shape the perception and outlook towards his future progress & higher responsibilities


Carefully looking at one's subtle response gives lot of clue. Don’t go with only content but look for intent too


Spiritual elevation gives us wisdom to guide us about our intentions & perceptions to make informed decisions

  Make or break!   When Salya agreed to drive Karna’s chariot only on condition that he must be allowed to speak freely whatever he likes, Duryodhana and Karna readily agreed & thus a contract was made. Duryodhana flattered Salya by comparing him to Lord Brahmā, who formerly became Shiva’s charioteer at the time of destroying Tripura   Duryodhana concluded his long talk by saying: Dear Salya, Parasurāma delivered the entire science of weapons to Karna. Therefore, we must intelligently conclude that Karna cannot really be a sutā’s son. He must be the offspring of a demigod born in a Kshatriya family & then abandoned at infancy. Grudge-The heaviest thing to hold! Asvattāma hurriedly yoked horses to his chariot & set out, as Krpa & Krtvarma anxiously followed him. He soon arrived at Pāndava camp & saw a gigantic being with enormous head with flames emanating from his eyes, nose, ear & mouth   Asvattāma fearlessly attacked that awesome being with his celestial weapons but failed in all his attempt. He thought to himself: Krpa had warned me that persons who don’t listen to their elders must lament later. The frustration of my attempt must be due to its inherently sinful nature.
