Blessings!
Hearing auspicious words spoken by Rām, Shiva said following beautiful words-O Rām! The lotus eyed, long armed, broad chested, annihilator of enemies & excellent among those who uphold the cause of virtue. I congratulate you on achieving the task of killing Rāvan. Fortunately, the fear born due Rāvan’s atrocities which increased severe darkness for the entire world, has been removed by you on battlefield
You should now comfort depressed Bharata & the illustrious Kausalya as well as Keikeyi and Sumitra. You’ve now got the sovereignty of Ayodhya, bringing delight to your friends, glorifying Ikshvaku clan & getting opportunity to perform horse-sacrifice & to grant riches to Brahmanas. King Dasaratha, you father in this mortal world, a highly venerable person is seated on an aerial car. Having been delivered by you, the glorious king obtained abode of Indra. You can now offer your respectful salutation to him along with Laxman
Hearing the words of Shiva, Rām & Laxman offered their humble obeisance to their father, who was seated on an aerial car and was blazing in his own splendor, clad in brilliant garments. King Dasartha was filled with excessive delight to see his son, who was dearer to him than life. Placing him in his lap & embracing him in his arms, he said-O Rām! Separated from you, the heaven is not a liking to me, nor the respect given by celestials. I am telling truth
Today, as I see you, it’s a great joy for me to know that your enemies have been destroyed & you have fully gone through the period of exile of 14 years. O Rām! The words uttered by Keikeyi to send you into exile, is still imprinted in my heart. Today seeing you in fine fettle with Laxman & embracing you, I now stand rid of my sorrow, as the Sun is freed of mist
O great souled son! I’ve been redeemed by you. I recognize you now to be the Supreme person, duly enjoined here by rulers of celestials like Brahmā, Shiva & others. Kaushalya will indeed be blessed to see you when you would return home from forest
Blessings are so transformational. When we receive blessings from others, if we count them and its potency, then we feel enriched. We should receive blessings with an intent to pass it on to others, we ourselves should become blessing for others
Whatever we have got is all by the mercy of the Supreme Lord and thanking him for that brings humility & gratitude. We are chosen to get it with the purpose of inner contentment & outward contribution. By our habit to seek blessings from all, we see good in others & appreciate even a small help from them. Even the wrongs done by others are blessing in disguise for our upliftment
Count your blessings & discount them on others
