Feeling greatly satisfied & rejoicing while travelling in that splendid chariot, which was now floating in air and was in the shape of a swan, the Vānaras, bears & demons sat comfortably & spaciously in that wonderful aerial vehicle
As approved by Rama, the aerial car flew into the sky, with a great sound. Casting his look on all sides, Rām then spoke to Sitā- Look at the City of Lanka, resting firmly on mount Trikuta, looking like a peak of Mount Kailasa & built by Viswarakarma, the universal architect. Look at this great battlefield, covered with a mud of flesh & blood
O Sitā! Here died Ravana, tormentor of people, on whom boons were conferred by Brahma but was killed by me for your sake. Here demons Kumbhakarna & Prahasta were killed. Here, Dhumraksha was killed by Hanumān. Here was Vidyunmali killed by Sushena & Indrajit, son of Ravana, was killed by Laxman in combat. Here demon called Vikata was killed by Angada. Virupaksha, Mahaparsva, Mahodara, Akampana, Trishiras, Atikaya Devantaka, Narantaka & other mighty demons were also killed here.
Both Yuddonmatta & Matta, as also Nikumbha & Kumbha the sons of Kumbhakarna, strong Vajradamshtra, Damshtra & many demons were killed. Makaraksha, most difficult demon to be attacked, was killed by me here. Akampana was killed in great battle as also valiant Shonitaksha, Yupaksa & Prajangha. Here, Vidyujjihva, the demon of terrific appearance was killed. Yajnashatru, Suptaghna, Surya shatru & Brahma shatru too were killed. Here, surrounded by more than a 1000 fellow-wives, Rāvan's wife Mandodari lamented for him
O Sitā! Here is seen a water-descent of ocean on sea-shore, where having crossed the ocean, we spent a night. Here is bridge called Nala Setu, so difficult to execute, but was built over for your sake. See this roaring imperturbable & seemingly boundless ocean, habitation of Varuna, teeming with conches & oyster-shells. See golden mountain Mainaka which rose when Hanumān was passing through the ocean, to provide rest & relaxation to him. See this island, located in middle of ocean, where my troops were stationed. At this place, Lord Shiva formerly bestowed his grace on me
Acknowledgement of the contribution of others in a cause is a great quality of a leader. The essence of acknowledgement is that even when we do our best, there is a lot which affects us over which we don’t have any control. Accepting our vulnerability thus brings humility. We should all behave as a humble spiritual warriors empowered by our dependence on Supreme Lord & vigilance by adhering to Dharmic principles enumerated by him
Krsna says in Bhagvad Gita:
ātma-sambhāvitāḥ stabdhā dhana-māna-madānvitāḥ
yajante nāma-yajñais te dambhenāvidhi-pūrvakam
Self-complacent and always impudent, deluded by wealth and false prestige, they sometimes proudly perform sacrifices in name only, without following any rules or regulations
