šŸ‘Inspiration!

Lot of time elapsed as Laxman & Indrajit fought each other. To relieve the martial weariness of Laxman, Vibhishana offered to take position on battlefield against Indrajit, with an intent to behold their combat. He stretched his bow & released arrows on demons. His attendants also jumped in with their spikes, swords & spears. He exhorted Vānaras to give their best in fight & said-Here stands before you, the one who is the last support of Rāvan. He is all that is left in demon's force. Why do you stand idle?

If this sinful Indrajit is killed, the remaining army is also dead except Rāvan. All the main warriors in Rāvan army – Prahasta, Nikumbha, Kumbha, Kumbhakarna, Dhumraksha, Ashaniprabha, Akampana, Devantaka, Jambumali, Agniketu, Vajradamshtra etc are already dead. To kill these mighty warriors & foremost of demons is like swimming across the ocean. We can easily cross this tiny puddle, if we give our best to fight

Drive away tenderness for the sake of Rām. I would myself like to kill my own brother’s son, though being his uncle it is not appropriate for me to do so. Long armed Laxman will kill him, but all of you together kill his associates standing beside him. Impelled by Vibhishana, Vānara chiefs rejoiced & lashed their tails & began to strike demons with stones, trees & fists

Mighty demons abandoning their fear attacked Jāmbavan together with swords & spears. Hanumān seeing this was enraged & asked Laxman to descend from his back He then tore a Sāla tree & began to destroy demons in thousands

Indrajit rushed towards Laxman & both warriors covered each other by a network of arrows. As the Sun set down, encircling darkness all over, large streams of blood poured on the field. It looked like a stalemate but then Laxman shot 4 arrows & struck gold adorned horses of Indrajit. He then shot Bhalla similar to Indra’s thunderbolt & chopped off charioteer’s head

Laxman released multitude of arrows on Indrajit & the demon looked dejected. He felt that situation was going out of his control & thought to take a break to get another chariot from Lankā

Our actions to inspire others matter more than what we can envisage. We may think that what difference we alone can make in the scheme of things & be discouraged to not do anything at all. Such thoughts makes us feel insecure, worthless & insignificant. We have enough examples of ordinary people making extraordinary contributions in our lives, who just spoke a kind word or offered a helping hand when we most needed it

Hence, we don’t need to be extraordinary but can still inspire others. If we just strive to do whatever best we can, our actions may inspire others even without our knowledge

BGita implores us all to be inspiration for others

Whatever action a great man performs, common men follow. And whatever standards he sets by exemplary acts, all the world pursues
