Waste of Talent & Skills☀

As Prahasta-chief of army was slain, demons returned to Lankā, plunged in ocean of burning grief. Triumphant Nila was honored by Rām Laxman & Sugriva for the well accomplished task

The demons went & told Rāvan about Prahasta’s demise in the hands of Nila. Overcome with anger & burning with grief, Rāvan said-That enemy is not to be despised, under whose blows, destroyer of Indra’s host & leader of my army has fell. I’ll now personally go without hesitation to destroy them & gain victory. As a forest is consumed by blazing fires, so shall I scorch Vānaras along with Laxman & Rām. Today I shall satiate earth with their blood

Speaking thus, Rāvan ascended his celestial chariot, which shown like flame, yoked to excellent horses. He moved forward with sound of conches, kettledrums, cymbals, leonine roars & well-acclaimed encomiums. Endowed with extraordinary energy, he came out of Lanka & observed ferocious army of Vānaras, with trees & rocks in their hands ready for combat and roaring like mass of thunder clouds

Rām asked Vibhishana-Who is in command of this army, furnished with every kind of weapons, imperturbable soldiers & elephants as high as Mahendra mountains? Vibhishana said-O Prince! One who is standing in his chariot brandishing a bow is Indrajit, one with a huge body is Atikaya, one who is riding an elephant is Mahodara, one who is on a horse with gleaming javelin is Pishacha, one who is carrying spike is Trishira, one with a huge chest is Kumbha. one who is holding mace is Nikumbha & next to him is Narantaka

He who is surrounded by ghosts of dreadful form of rolling eyes, under an excellent canopy, shining like Rudra is demon king Rāvan. He's decked with a diadem & his formidable stature equals Vindhyas, lord of mountains

Rām said-What glory, what majesty. Rāvan is beaming like Sun with rays difficult to be gazed. Such magnificence! All warriors surrounding him are shining too. Alas! With his acts,he has demoted himself & now by good luck comes today within my range of sight. I shall expunge my wrath now, born of Sitā’s abduction. Rām took up his bow & standing erect drew out an excellent arrow

If the skills & talent we've isn't employed to serve but to gratify own senses, then it just destroys self. Whatever talent we've got, strength we have, education we get & in whatever position we are, we need to serve Supreme Lord & is devotees. Serving him means following what he has said thro’ scriptures & don’t require extra intelligence to do things otherwise

For one who worships Me, giving up all his activities unto Me & being devoted to Me without deviation, engaged in devotional service & always meditating upon Me, who has fixed his mind upon Me, for him I am the swift deliverer from ocean of birth & death
