Humbly ambitious!

Rāvan seeing Vānar army led by Rām, gave a shoutout to demons-Take your positions unfalteringly at the gates, principal exits, outposts & fortifications of Lankā. Learning of my presence here along with you & taking this to be a weak point, Vānaras may storm desolate city which is otherwise difficult to be overpower & may destroy it by surprise. After demon army departed as ordered, Rāvan began to take cognizance of sea of Vānar army

Seeing radiant bow of Rāvan, Sugriva tore a huge mountain top, ran & hurled at him. It was quickly broken asunder with golden shafts of Rāvan. He then released an arrow resembling a great serpent to kill Sugriva. Piercing his body, it left Sugriva unconscious & he fell moaning on earth. Seeing him falling, deprived of senses, demons raised a shout of triumph. As Gavaksha, Gavaya, Sushena, Rishabh, Jyotimukha & Nala of exceeding corpulence, saw their king been hit, they tore up rocks & rushed towards Rāvan

Rāvan with 100's of sharp arrows, rendered their projectiles fruitless & pierced them with a multitude of marvelous golden arrows. Pierced by them, Vānar generals fell on ground, emitted cries, & fled to seek refuge in Rām, who was capable of giving protection to all

Rām, the skilled archer, taking his bow set out at once. Laxman however approached him with joined palms & said-O noble brother, I’m able to kill this wretch on my own accord, pls permit me to do so. Rām said-Rāvan is endowed with great strength & possesses an outstanding prowess in war. Undoubtedly, the 3 worlds cannot withstand his fury. You can proceed but need to seek his weak points & guard against your own. Defend yourself vigilantly with your eye & bow. Laxman offered obeisance, bid farewell & entered battlefield. He saw Rāvan with arms as large as trunks of elephants, brandishing his dreadful fiery bow, covering Vānaras whose bodies he had severed with his arrows

Meanwhile energetic Hanumān rushed on Rāvan to stop the rain of arrows. Approaching his chariot, Hanumān said-You’ve obtained boon of invulnerability from celestials, demons, gandharvas, & semi-divine beings but Vānaras are danger to you. This 5 branched right hand of mine, which I now raise will rob you of your life. Rāvan replied-Strike quickly without fear O Vānar, thereafter I shall destroy you measuring your strength. Hanumān said-recollect that I killed your son Aksha not long before

Hearing this infuriated Rāvan struck Hanumān violently on his chest with the palm of his hand, and he reeled backwards

Humility & ambition can both exist together. Hanumān is often depicted with folded hands, but he also carries a mace, which he uses to execute heroic deeds in Lord’s service. He was both dependent on Supreme Lord and diligent in serving him. Humility is empowering, as it makes us recipient of Lord’s blessings to purify us & cleanse our contaminations. We are then ambitious to serve him with all our potential

Are we humbly ambitious? Thoughts pls? #gameoflife
