Representation!
Angad introduced himself to Rāvan-I’m son of Vāli, Angad is my name. I’ve come as a messenger of Rām, the King of Koshala. Has my name ever reached your ears?
Rām, born in Raghu dynasty, augments joy of mother Kaushalya, has spoken thus to you-O ruthless demon! Come forth & fight to prove yourself as a representative of your race. I shall kill you along with your ministers, sons & other relatives. After you’re dead, all 3 worlds will be rid of fear. You're like a thorn to sages & enemy of all beings. If you don’t restore Sitā honorably by bowing respectfully before me, you’re slain & Vibhishana will be king
Hearing these harsh words from Angad, Rāvan was infuriated & commanded his attendants-Let this stupid Vānar be seized & put to death. Hear their king’s words, 4 terrible demons seized Angad, who in his splendor resembled a blazing torch
Heroic Angad allowed himself to be captured in order to display his prowess before demon hosts. He then seized those demons clinging to his arms, like birds, and leapt high on the palace. Shaken out by the impetuous leap, the 4 demons fell on ground under eyes of their king. Thereafter, Angad ascended the roof of Rāvan's palace and trampled by him, the roof crumbled as peak of Himalayan range shatters by lightening
After destroying the roof of palace, Angad proclaimed his name and with a triumphant roar rose into air. Causing restlessness to all demons but delight to Vānaras, he approached Rām, who was stationed in the middle of Vānar forces. Because of the destruction of his palace, Rāvan on his part got extremely angry. Foreseeing his own destruction, he became a despondent. Rām on his part proceeded ahead for the battle, with an intent to wipe out enemy
Sushena, the highly valiant Vānar, on orders of Sugriva, patrolled Lankā gates. Seeing hundreds of divisions of those Vānaras, encamped under walls of Lanka & marshaled on shores of sea, the demons were amazed. Some were terror-struck while others were overjoyed at the prospect of fighting, leapt even in exultation. They saw the entire space between the walls & moat being occupied by Vānaras like a second rampart
The demons approached Rāvan & informed him about the seize of Lankā by Rām & the Vānar army. Hearing it, the demon king exhibiting his anger, made necessary arrangements for the war & ascended his mansion
Angad was just one of the many soldiers of Rām & he courageously showed his might. Before Hanumān also had decimated the entire Lankā. Any sensible person would have easily gauged strength of his opponent seeing the power of just few of the soldiers, but lust and ego had created such a thick covering over Rāvan’s intelligence that he wasn’t able to see his imminent disaster
When we represent our team or an enterprise, we should also be fearless & brave to encapsulate the message about capability of team, whom we represent & what it can do. This establishes supremacy & dents opponent morale as well
