Allegiance!

Sarama, who knew how to investigate could hear wicked Rāvan's resolve & soon returned to Ashoka grove. She saw Sitā, who looked like Lakshmi the goddess of prosperity (and the wife of Vishnu), bereft of the lotus and waiting for her. She embraced her, offered a seat & said-tell me about the real design of that cruel & wicked Rāvan. Sarama narrated all the conversations of Rāvan with his ministers

O Sitā, excellent words were spoken by Kaikasi, Rāvan’s mother as well as Avidhha, the aged minister, asking for your release. They said-let Sitā be restores honorably to Rām. The wonderful act of killing 14000 demons at Janasthan should be an eye opener for you. Which mortal would accomplish crossing of ocean, discovery of Sitā by Hanumān & the carnage of demons in combat on earth? Though admonished in many ways by aged ministers & his mother, Rāvan isn’t inclined to set you free, like a miser that would not leave his hold on his riches

O Sitā! He doesn’t want to release you without dying himself in battle. This is the resolve of cruel Rāvan along with his ministers. Due to infatuation caused by his impending death, his aforesaid determination is very firm. He’s not in a position to release you, not through sheer fear, but until he is defeated in battle thro’ the carnage of all demons & himself. Killing Rāvan by his sharp arrows in combat, Rām will take you back to Ayodhya by all means

Meanwhile, huge tumultuous sound of Vānara army blended with sound of kettledrums reverberated causing earth to shake. The servants of Rāvan stationed in Lankā, hearing it were overcome with depression & did not see anything salutary in the decision of their king

The mighty armed Rām, conqueror of hostile forces, sallied forth with resonant roll of kettle drums mingled with blast of conch shells

When our near & dear ones advise us, our friends alert us, well-wishers want to protect us but still if don’t listen then it means that our past actions are chasing us. One has free will to listen or negate an opinion and others can influence only up to a point.

This also has huge implication in our professional lives, where we should have a mechanism to protect an enterprise from the whims & fancies of one individual who may act such that it risks the very foundation of the company. As after a point, one is beyond redemption, so for an enterprise a mechanism should be in place to safeguard larger interests & get rid of irresponsible attitude. Allegiance should be for larger good & not catering to smaller selfish motives

Thoughts pls? #gameoflife
