Achieve The Impossible !


Nala said to Rām, I’m capable of constructing a bridge across the ocean. I together with other foremost of Vānaras will start building the bridge across the ocean now

Agreed by Rām, hundreds & thousands of Vānara heroes jumped in joy on all sides & rushed towards the close-by forest. They broke rocks & trees & dragged them towards the sea. They started collecting all types of trees like Sāla, Asvakrna, Dhava, Bamboo, Kutaja, Arjuna & others. Vānaras with mighty strength uprooted elephant sized rocks & transported them with mechanical contrivances towards the sea. As they threw the boulders into the ocean, its waters soared up towards the sky & gushed back. The rocks & trees befalling on all sides, perturbed the ocean. Some Vānaras drew up long ropes to keep the rocks in straight line

Nala finalized the design & initiated building the monumental bridge in the middle of the ocean. Some Vānaras were holding poles for measuring the bridge & others collected material. Reeds & logs were fastened together to form part of the bridge. All Vānaras were running hither & thither to arrange & contribute

On the first day, 14 yojanas of bridge was constructed & all were thrilled to see the outcome of their efforts

On the second day 20 yojanas were constructed more with the mighty efforts of all

On the third day 21 yojanas of the bridge was additionally constructed speedily

On fourth day 22 yojanas were made &

On fifth day balance 23 yojanas of the bridge up to the shore of Lankā was built

Nala, the strong & illustrious son of Vishwakarma, excellently built the bridge across the sea as his father would have built it. That beautiful bridge shone brightly like a milky way of stars in the sky. With the desire to uphold the marvel, celestials along with Gandharvas, Siddhas & Sages came in droves & stood up in the sky. They appreciated the effort to build this bridge 10 yojanas wide & 100 yojanas in length

The Vānaras taking long & short leaps shouted in joy. All other beings saw that construction of the bridge across the ocean as unimaginable, impossible & wonderful, causing their hair to stand on end in amazement

A monumental task is speedily achieved when the participants are enthused by a higher purpose binding them together

It always seems impossible until it is done

Emotions! As R āksasās led by Ghatotkaca attacked, only Asvattāma remained firm & dispelled their illusions. Ghatotkaca rushed at Asvattāma, but the son of Drona drove him back with a forceful stream of arrows. The son of Ghatotkaca, named Anjanaparva joined the fray, showering his arrows upon Asvattāma, but Drona’s son quickly retaliated by knocking down his flag, killing his two drivers, breaking his bow & at last killing his horses   Anjanaparva flew into the sky & began showering trees upon Asvattāma. In retaliation the son of Drona afflicted him so severely that the Rāksasā soon had to return to the shelter of his chariot.
