Constructive criticism!

Knowing that Arjun’s horses were fatigued, entire Kaurava army gradually surrounded him. Arjun said: O Krsna, what should I do? We’re still a long distance from Jarasandha. I think You should quickly get down from chariot & tend to horses. Pluck the arrows from their bodies & let them rest for few minutes before we continue penetrating Kaurav ranks

Sri Krsna considered this as a good idea & so both He & Arjun dismounted. Kaurav warriors were overjoyed to obtain this golden opportunity & began showering their arrows upon Arjun with great enthusiasm. Arjun stood upon the ground, bow in hand. As he proceeded to foil enemy’s weapons & check their progress, Sri Krsna said: Your horses are desperately in need of water, but there is no well to be found here

Hearing this, Arjun pierced the earth with a wonderful celestial weapon that instantly created a beautiful lake containing cool transparent water, filled with lotus flowers & inhabited by exotic birds. Sri Krsna unyoked the horses, plucked the arrows from their bodies, massaged them with His lotus-like hands & had them drink cool water of the lake. Horses’ fatigue was soon relieved

After Sri Krsna again yoked the horses, He & Arjun mounted the chariot. Kaurava warriors praised them for this unprecedented achievement. At this time the sun was steadily descending towards western hills & so Arjun requested Krsna to urge his horses on with greater speed. Sri Krsna drove so swiftly that arrows Arjun released were seen to fall behind their speeding chariot. Thus, within a very short time, Jayadratha at last came into view in the distance. Seeing him, Sri Krsna & Arjun roared with great delight

In the meantime, Duryodhana clad in impenetrable armour, somehow managed to pass Arjun’s chariot so that he now turned to face him. Sri Krsna said: Duryodhana has performed a wonderful feat by overtaking us like this. Time has come for you to release your long-held wrath against the Kaurava king

In response Arjun ordered Krsna to advance towards Duryodhana. Although they were both excited with hatred & anger, at the same time were happy to have received opportunity to fight each other. Arjun & Duryodhana blew their mighty conch shells. After challenging his adversary, the Kaurava king began releasing his arrows

One of these blazing shafts broke the whip, knocking it from Krsna’s hand. Becoming furious Arjun released showers of arrows & yet, instead of piercing Duryodhana, they were reflected by his impenetrable armour. Seeing this Krsna exclaimed: How wonderful it is that your arrows are being repelled like this! Is it possible that the Gandiva bow has lost its potency, or that your arm has grown weak?

Constructive criticism is always welcome. When we think about negative possibilities, pondering over things that can go wrong, it helps us prepare for emergencies. So, with that intent, when we criticize those whom, we love & care, it prepares them to rethink & to minimize any damage forthcoming. Here the intent has a major role to play & not directed to a person but towards the situation at hand
