Thrilled by his master’s words, Rāvan’s charioteer drove the splendid chariot quickly onto the battle front driven by excellent horses, mounted with flags & filled with war weapons. It looked like the chariot was devouring the sky with its resounding noise as it moved, frightening adversaries & delighting self

Rām saw Rāvan’s chariot coming speedily with noise, bearing large flag staff, driven by black horses, blazing the sky with the luster of Sun. Seeing the chariot releasing streams of arrows, Rām after stretching his bow in a crescent shape spoke to his charioteer Matāli-Looking at the way in which enemy is moving forward from left to right in great speed, it appears that his heart has been set upon destroying himself in battle. Take care & march forward & I’ll destroy him as wind blows the cloud away

Without fear & flurry and with steady heart & vision, with movement of reins fully controlled, drive the chariot swiftly. You need not be instructed by me as you are accustomed to drive Indra’s chariot. I’m keen to fight this battle with close attention but this does not mean I’m teaching you anything but just reminding you what is best

Extremely gratified with those words of Rām, Matāli, the excellent charioteer of Indra, drove the chariot. As he passed the huge chariot of Rāvan on the right, it shook Rāvan by the dust risen by the wheels of the chariot. This enraged Rāvan, with his coppery eyes wide open trembled as he faced Rām standing in front facing him, with arrows

Meeting fortitude with anger, though provoked with assault, Rām took hold of Indra's bow, which possessed extra ordinary impulse in battlefield. He also seized hold of arrows of exceeding swiftness, which were shining like sunbeams

Then began that great battle between the two warriors, who were desirous of killing each other, facing each other like two proud lions. Celestials along with Gandharvas, Siddhas and great sages, desirous of Rāvan's ruin, arrived to see the battle of titans.

Thereupon, terrific portents that caused one's hair to stand on end appeared, giving an augury of doom to Rāvan and prosperity to Rām

What a gem of lesson for all of us. When we have an accomplished person in our team, to utilize his competence, we just need to guide & align his efforts to the goals that needs to be achieved, leaving out micromanagement. By doing this, the synergy comes in the efforts and there is space for all to contribute to the best of their abilities

To embark on any journey if the start & the end point is clearly defined and shared & all team members know about the strengths (& weakness) of the team, they can perform accordingly

High points of one matches with low of other & vice versa. Thus, the performance is a geometric and not arithmetic progression of the efforts put. They act as a reliable guide for each other, and this nurtures respect, stimulates evolution in conceptions for fulfilment of goals
