Vibhishana having established order in all the ranks of Vānara army, came quickly to Rām with a mace in his hand. Sugriva enquired saying-Why is the army agitated, like a ship driven out of its course in water? Angad replied-Don’t you see the two brothers lying on ground unconscious? Sugriva said-No, this is not because of this but due to some other danger ahead


They then saw Vibhishana approaching towards them saying Victory to Rām. Observing Vibhishana to be the cause of panic among Vānaras, Sugriva said to Jāmbavan-All are confusing Vibhishana as Indrajit, pls inform them about who has come & thus the confidence among the ranks was restored


Vibhishana wept seeing Rām Laxman lying unconscious & in disarray. The son of my brother, the one with perverse & wicked cunning mind has deceived these 2 honorable fighters, said Vibhishana. Rāvan will be very happy to get his desires fulfilled. Sugriva then consoled Vibhishana, & spoke to Sushena, his father-in-law, standing by his side-Take the two brothers back to Kishkindha for their recovery & I’ll fight Rāvan & his army, to kill him and bring back Sitā


Sushena replied-In the past a terrific war was fought between celestials & demons. The demons made themselves invisible again & again and with their skills of arrows overcame celestials, who despite being skilled with arms were injured. To the celestials who were unconscious & almost deprived of life, their guru Brihaspati treated them by the aid of herbs accompanied by his spells of sacred chants. I see a chance to quickly treating Rām & Laxman but it requires a great effort


If any of the Vānara, Hanumān Sampati Panasa etc can go quickly in speed to the ocean of milk to bring those herbs, it would be beneficial. The efficacious mountainous herb Sanjivakarani & Vishalya are created by God and is found in the mountains Chandra & Drona, which are in the middle of milky ocean, where the ambrosia was formerly churned. The best suited to bring the herbs is Hanumān, son of wind god and so I request to send him quickly


Meantime a great wind arose accompanied by clouds & lightening causing huge waves in ocean & uprooting trees on shore. Mighty eagle Garuda came, seeing whom the serpents binding Rām Laxman in the form of mighty arrows, fled away. Garuda offered the 2 brothers good wishes & with his hands touched their faces. Immediately all wounds were healed & their bodies became smooth & radiant


When the team is in disarray, sometimes even one is afraid of their own members. Suspicion & confusion prevails. To inspire a team, the leader must show the way & exemplify his confidence to boost morale of his team. When there is teamwork, you have others by your side & suggestions galore to solve the problems at hand. The way a team plays as a whole determines its success. You may have the best of skilled individuals but unless they don’t contribute together, success eludes


Individuals play the game but the team beats the odds
