When one & all are leaders in their own capacity

Valiant army chiefs of Vānaras stayed on Suvela mountain for that night & saw garden & groves of Lankā which were levelled, beautiful, spacious, majestic & enchanting to look at. Champaka, Ashok, Vakula, Sala, Palmyra trees were covered with groves of Tamala, Panasa & Nagakesara trees. Lankā looked splendid on all sides like Amrāvati, the celestial city of Indra. It had green lawns, variegated avenues whose crests were laden with flowers & tender red leaves. Trees were laden with fragrant & enchanting flowers & fruits. Songs of birds, dancing peacocks & cuckoos were heard all over

Some Vānaras came out of their troops with due permission from Sugriva & went towards Lankā. Great in making noises, they frightened birds and displeased animals & elephants, causing Lankā to tremble. They marched ahead with great speed raising dust instantaneously up in air. It looked like each of them can destroy Lankā on its own

The solitary peak of Trikuta mountain, which was so high (800 miles) as if touching sky, resembled gold & was bright, beautiful, glorious & majestic, was inaccessible even by birds leave alone humans. Lankā on its peak was 80 miles in breadth & 160 miles in length. It had towering city gates resembling white clouds, with gold & silver ramparts, adorned with palaces & 7-storied mansions. Rāvan’s palace in middle with 1000 pillars looked like peak of mount Kailasa, was well protected. Scraping the skies, it looked like an ornament of Lankā

Rām, Laxman & others saw charming golden city with its teeming wealth & opulence. Beholding that city, which looked like heavens crammed with huge palaces, all were seized with astonishment

Then Rām along with Sugriva went further up to the top of mount Suvela. He surveyed the ten cardinal points of Lankā. There above the north gateway, stood the invincible Rāvan, fanned with white whisks on both sides. He was graced with triumphant parasol, smeared with red sandal paste, adorned with scarlet ornaments, wearing attire embroidered in gold

On seeing Rāvan, Sugriva got up at once & with an impulse of fury, he sprang from the summit of mountain to the top of gate where Rāvan was standing. He boldly proclaimed-I’m a friend & servant of Rām, Lord of the world. You’ll not be spared by me today, by inspiring grace of Rām

Thus speaking, Sugriva bounced over Rāvan, pulled his crown from his head & threw it away on ground. Fierce fight ensued

When each member of the team feels inspired to take on the mission on its own, it speaks volumes both about the mission and of the leader. When one wants to give his best without being pushed and is pulled by the gravity of the cause, it means the string of purpose is sacrosanct and the respect for the leader is overpowering without any doubt

Can we bind our teams with such a string? The greatest leader is not someone who is the only leader but is one who inspires others to be a leader & empowers them
